Freedan:What new talents?
Nothing concrete yet of course as the WLK talent updates have not been posted. What did catch my eye was this
http://www.wowblues.com/eu/ret-pallys-in-wotlk-3616231665.html and related links.
What struck me specifically was that there is a commitment to increase retri paladin's DPS efficiency. This I take as far more positive than the continual nerfing of Rogue DPS (see this list if you think I'm kidding:
http://shadowpanther.net/roguechanges.htm ) and the general meh-ness of the Rogue WLK talents.
I do feel a bit frustrated that to do decent DPS and damage, my rogue needs to absorb a ton of buffs from you guys and be in a specific party make up and without them I'm decidedly average. On top of this I provide no group utility
at all. Drums of Battle is the one exception - and so would Hemo if they hadn't nerfed it.
Having played my shaman to 70 and done a few instances, I did enjoy the ability to don some healing gear while elemental spec and take a healing role - or even just to pop off a few emergency heals on the main healer. Situational totem fiddling was also great fun!
So doing less damage than a rogue while providing lots of group utility (plus finally wielding a big FO 2-hand sword) appeals to me greatly at the moment :)
